Best Thing in the World to Happen
“All the adversity I’ve had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me…. You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.” – Walt Disney
Obstacles only get in your way when you let them. You’re on a great big beautiful planet filled with possibilities. The strong woman will see that obstacle as an opportunity to learn something new and find the grit in herself. She will see it as a gift, rather than a burden. When it shakes its mighty fist in her face, she will not cower to it. She will stand tall and proud and thank it for teaching her the value of a life lesson. And, she will not let it end there. No. She will not act as a victim and pout away from it, hurt, scared and shameful. No. She will wear that badge of courage proudly, respecting the process of life’s ups and downs and realize she is far better off having met up with that lesson than walking past it dazed and unaffected.
The greatest growth begins the day you embrace adversity and accept it as the strength-training coach it is.
